Trick or Treat Sign

Trick or Treat….

this is something sweet!
I had so much fun this week using my new font to create some more Halloween Décor. This is an all-time favorite for me.

Supplies:
Rivka’s Renditions ‘Trick {or} Treat’ Shape
(This is a great time to get the shape since it is on sale!)
Silhouette Machine
Black Vinyl
Transfer Paper
2 Large Wooden Plaques
1 Small Wooden Plaque
(you can find these at JoAnn’s or Michaels)
White Paint
Black sparkle tape by Tape Works (for the border)
Chain of Choice (I used one from JoAnn’s)
8 Screw eyes (found at any hardware store)
Pliers (to use for the chain)
Hot glue gun if needed

Tutorial:
Step 1: Sand and paint all of your wooden plaques with the white paint. Let dry completely before putting anything else on.
Step 2: Download the ‘Trick {or} Treat’ Shape from my Silhouette Online Store HERE. Size the words to fit your plaques.
Step 3: Cut out your shape.
Step 4: Using the Transfer Tape, pick up the vinyl and lay it down on the plaque as seen below.

Step 5: Time to put on your border! Use the black sparkle tape around the border of each plaque. Some parts had a hard time staying down so I used hot glue to fix the little pieces. (you can see what the border looks like below)

Step 6: Measure out where you want to put the Screw Eyes and screw them into each board. Top plaque has 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom, middle plaque has 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom, bottom plaque has 2 on the top.

Step 7:  Lay them out how you want it to hang on your door. And measure out your chain. Begin attaching the chain to the screw eyes using your pliers. **Make sure that the chain for each level has the same number of links so that it isn't crooked once you hang it.

Once you have the chain attached to all pieces you are done and ready to hang your new sign!!

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did! Happy Halloween!

Connected fonts

Hi Everyone! Wow it's been a long time. We have been very busy adjusting to our new neighborhood and remodeling our new home. It's coming along, but there is still a lot more to do. Here is a breakdown of the new fonts I have made available. In order to get past the problems of character maps, I have replaced keyboard characters with designs. I hope this helps :) Happy Holidays! Monogram Key strokes

Hey everyone! This is only for this basic style monograms shown. For all the other styles please use lowercase, uppercase, lowercase. I am going to be doing a series of monogram fonts that will make customizing your own monogram super easy. The font is already set up to place the letters within the design. All you have to do is refer to the chart below in order to place the letters in the correct sequence. In order to make this font work I had to replace numbers and some punctuation with the last letter of the monogram. I hope you enjoy them and it makes your life easier.  First Letter: Uppercase letters (use the keys A-Z with the shift key or caps lock) Second Letter: Lowercase letters (use the keys a-z) Third Letter:  A= 0 B= 1 C= 2 D= 3 E= 4 F= 5 G= 6 H= 7 I= 8 J= 9 K= ! L= ( M= # N= \ O= : P= , Q= . R= ? S= ; T= * U= / V= { W= } X= [ Y= ] Z= ) So to break it down. Choose your first lett...
